The dots can appear in any/all of the three “zones” of the “clover” shape of the clubs’ pips. The relevant code from the code sheet deals with information in sets of three.
The “1st” and “14th” on the ace, along with the “2nd” and “15th” on the two can help determine the order to consider the corner pips of each card.
Each corner pip represents a letter. All together they create a message that’s 26 letters long.
The order to consider the corner pips is A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and K, all upright. Then the ace flipped upside down, the two flipped upside down, and so on, all the way through the King upside down.
The dots in the corner pips are representative of ternary.
The fully assembled ternary message reads: “Favorite club of karma lizards.”
