With the cards in the right arrangement, have you worked out how the black lines can indicate different symbols?
This puzzle will make use of four cards: The Four, Five, Six, and Seven of Hearts.
Have you worked out what the “boxey” symbol on each card is hinting at, as far as how to arrange the cards?
The symbol has a bit of perspective to it. You’ll need to use a 3-dimensional arrangement to replicate it.
The sets of lines at each "altitude" should form some recognizable shapes.
Have you worked out what order to consider the groups of lines?
Take note of the “height” of each group of lines. You’ll want to consider them from top to bottom.
Have you identified five letters that can be used to spell the one word answer?
If you’re not getting letters that spell the correct answer, double check your interpretations of the groups of lines. And double check that your cards are arranged in the same order/rotation as indicated in the symbol.
The upper most lines should form the shape of an “L”. Making that the first letter of the answer.
First stand the cards on end forming a sort of box in the arrangement indicated by the symbols on the cards. This is easier said than done! Some possible tricks are to use some small pieces of tape, or to build the box “laying down” so you only need to hold three cards in place while the fourth lays on the table. Then look down into the box (or sideways through it if you built the box of cards on its side) and treat each set of black lines as a letter. From top to bottom. The lines form the letters L, O, G, I, C. The answer is LOGIC.
